Seizure of Smuggled Oil

In an effort to curb the smuggling of diesel, anti-smuggling operation was conducted by PMSA in coordination with JMICC apprehending AL ASIF & AL SHAMS boats carrying 64000 ltrs Iranian diesel alongwith 11 crew. The smugglers attempted to bring diesel into country without payment of duty & taxes were foiled.

Seizure of Narcotics by PMSA

PMSA and Sindh Anti Narcotics Force in coordination with JMICC seized drugs worth around Rs 400 Million during a joint operation in the creek areas on 22nd Dec 20. The confiscated contraband includes 25 Kg of heroin and 1 kg of hashish. The seized drugs were handed over to ANF Sindh .

SAR OF FISHING BOAT

PMSA in coordination with JMICC conducted a Search and Rescue operation saving 03 fishermen and their boat from Korangi Fish Harbour.

SAR of FV ALLAH TAWKAL

On 21 May 2020, upon receipt of information from JMICC regarding a fishing boat namely "ALLAH TAWKAL " which developed some machinery break down in open sea, PMSA ship was tasked immediately to approach towards the distress fishing boat and provide assistance. PMSA ship upon reaching at the position of stranded boat which was flooded with sea water, immediately carried out de-flooding of the boat with the help of de-flooding pumps. Later on fishing boat was taken in tow and brought to Karachi safely, including 18 x Fisher men onboard.

SAR OF FV SAFINA E HAJI

PMSA in coordination with JMICC conducted successful search and rescue operation at sea and rescued a fishing boat namely Safina-e-Haji Murtaza along with 16 of our fishermen, 95 Nautical Miles away from Gwadar

INCIDENT OF FIRE

At 031350 Sep 20, JMICC was informed that heavy smoke is being observed near KPT OP-3. Upon contact, CMC KPT informed that fire has been erupted in oil supply pipe line in vicinity of KPT OP-3. KPT requested JMICC for fire tenders from PN central fire brigade. JMICC initiated COI following which 06 PN fire tenders participated in firefighting efforts and fire was extinguished.

SAR of FV AL WAHIDI

At 191220 Aug 20, JRCC Norway informed JMICC through email that MT Burgan (IMO 9656022) contacted JRCC Norway that FV (Namely WAHIDI at POSN 20.47N 62.56E) made a call distress on VHF CH 16, about the engine breakdown since last 10 x days. Distressed FV was registered in IRAN; with 09 x crew onboard (All Iranian). FV was running out of food and lost contact on VHF with MT Burgan. JRCC Norway requested for assistance to FV.JMICC initiated COI following which PMSA vessel was tasked to rescue Iranian FV Wahidi along with 09 x crew. After reaching SOTI, edibles and medical assistance were provided and the said vessel was towed till Gawadar Port.

Rescue of FV AL AYUB

On 26 Nov 20 it was reported to JMICC that a fishing boat namely AL AYUB has reported machinery breakdown with 05 x crew onboard in vicinity of CML and has requested assistance. COI was also generated and PMSA tasked PMSA vessel for SAR.JMICC also coordinated BYCO tugs in vicinity of CML to provide SAR to the FV. BYCO tasked a tug (WSS-2) stationed at SPM for SAR efforts. After continuous search of over 4 hours, the stranded fishing vessel was sighted. The FV crew was recovered onboard PMSA vessel and the boat was taken in tow. At 270245 Nov 20 FV along with 05 x crew reached Karachi harbor safely.
